Biografía

Raymond Redvers Briggs fue un ilustrador, caricaturista, novelista gráfico y autor británico.

Raymond Briggs nació en Wimbledon y desde muy joven mostró una gran pasión por el dibujo.

A pesar de que su padre intentó disuadirlo de dedicarse al arte por considerarlo poco rentable, él siguió su vocación.

Su obra más emblemática, The Snowman, destaca por su capacidad de narrar historias sin necesidad de palabras.

Briggs se formó en prestigiosas instituciones como la Wimbledon School of Art y la Central School of Art.

A lo largo de su prolífica carrera, publicó 167 obras que abarcan desde la literatura infantil hasta la novela gráfica.
